Pre-Event Corporate Counsel

For many clients this is a new experience. Sometimes it helps to have a knowledgeable person guide you through the rough spots.

In our pre-event meeting, we'll help you identify and address such issues as:
  • Clarifying required process for termination
  • Establishing terms of separation (severance package)
  • Choosing a time and place for the meeting
  • Deciding who should do the termination
  • Determining what should be said and not said
  • Anticipating different types of reactions and responding with sensitivity
  • Anticipating contingencies (health, security)
  • Identifying issues that the terminated employee should understand by the end of the session

We'll be there the day you tell your employees the news, ready to listen and to provide support as required. Personalized Assessments

Individual assessments are critical. Some are easy to figure out, others are more complex. We take everything we know regarding an individual's work history - good and bad - and combine it with detailed personal observations from our exploratory meetings. Our goal is to help participants identify and understand their strengths and weaknesses and to set their own unique goals for the future.

We sometimes leverage formal assessment methodologies - from Myers Briggs and EQ-i to a series of online tests measuring Management Style, Career Orientation and Self Employment capability. In the end, the participant will have a much deeper understanding of what they need to do to be more successful - both in career transition and in life.

Customized Programs

Our one-to-one counseling process allows us to customize each program to the unique needs of each participant. Some individuals simply want resume counsel and job search advice - we help with extensive practice interviews and targeted networking. Others require a much deeper focus on resolution of past issues and career therapy.

Whatever the participant needs, we'll work with them to structure a program that matches their requirements. And for unique situations we can tailor a solution specific to your needs.

Industry Specific Counsel

We specialize in marketing, communications, media, technology and legal. We understand these industries and can counsel the unique techniques and strategies of managing career transition in these sectors. We know who the players are and can help coach through a successful job-search.
