While it’s important for morale and organizational culture to show your employees your appreciation year round, today is the official day of the year to show your team how much they mean to you.
Showing appreciation is beneficial to your organization, and it’s on the rise. According to a survey by Globoforce:

15 Ways to Show Your Appreciation
There are endless ways to show your appreciation. The important thing to keep in mind is to show it in a way that makes sense based on your company, industry, and culture. Here are some great ways to show your appreciation today, and any other day of the year:
- A simple thank you
- Public recognition for a job well done (through company email/memo, during a staff meeting)
- An employee of the month program
- Recognize those who engage in professional development and seek to better themselves
- Company luncheons and potlucks – this gives your team a break from work and helps to build morale
- Give your employees some flexibility in their work schedule (if possible)
- Celebrate milestones (company anniversaries, birthdays)
- Send thank you notes to employees who go above and beyond
- Have a year-end company party
- Team building events – ask your employees for input on things they enjoy doing
- Invest in your employees – send them to workshops and conferences

- Implement summer Fridays at your office – let your team leave early to enjoy the summer weather whenever possible
