Most In-Demand Jobs For Q2 2023
According to data collected by LinkedIn as reported on the LinkedIn Talent Blog, customer service representative roles are in the highest demand. Many of the jobs that made the list won’t be a surprise and are similar to the beginning of the year. Here is a list of the 10 most in-demand jobs this summer:
- Customer Service Representative (+3 places vs. previous quarter)
- Salesperson (no change)
- Registered Nurse (-2)
- Software Engineer (-1)
- Retail Salesperson (no change)
- Driver (+2)
- Project Manager (no change)
- Store Associate (+1)
- Cashier (-3)
- Store Manager (+2)
Jobs With The Fastest Growing Demand This Summer
There are a number of jobs that are quickly becoming in high demand. With many in the food industry struggling to hire, there are many related roles in the restaurant and food industry that have been a challenge to fill. Based on LinkedIn data, here’s a list of the jobs with the fastest-growing demand:
- Service Officer — 2.4x
- Research and Development Engineer — 2.1x
- Artificial Intelligence Engineer — 2.1x
- Baker — 2.0x
- Commis Chef — 1.9x
- Sales Supervisor — 1.8x
- Mental Health Specialist — 1.8x
- Meat Cutter — 1.8x
- Facilities Engineer — 1.8x
- Personal Shopper — 1.7x
Some may be surprised to not see AI-related roles on this list. But you can expect to see them on future lists.
“As generative artificial intelligence continues to reshape businesses and business models at a breathtaking clip, it was only a matter of time before we saw an AI-specific role pop into the top 10,” says Greg Lewis from LinkedIn.
“Demand for AI engineers more than doubled in the past three months, growing by 109%. Another innovative engineering role, research and development engineer, saw demand grow even more (113%),” he adds.
